Help to victims
1. For who
For adults and children who were victims to or who witnessed a crime, relatives of suicide and people involved in a traffic accident.
For parents, teachers, social workers,… who take care of children or youngsters who experienced something shocking.
2. Our offer
Emotional support and counsel to those recovering from traumatic events.
- Information and advice on practical and legal problems: what happens with your complaint, what are your rights as a victim,...
- Administrative support, for example when asking for a compensation.
- Reference to more specialized services if necessary, for example to a service for mental health care.
- Coaching parents, teachers, social workers,… who take care of children or a youngsters who experienced something shocking and who need advice or support.
Our service also gives lectures about how to help children who are dealing with traumatic events.
The team of Help to victims consists of professional social workers and educated volunteers.
It is a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychosocial counsellors, a lawyer, volunteers, a collaborator ‘children’, a collaborator ‘traffic’ and a team leader.

You can reach our Help service easily by phone on:
Monday from 9.00 to 12.30 hours.
Tuesday from 13.30 . to 17.00 hours.
Wednesday from 9.00 to 12.30 .
Thursday from 9.00 to 12.30 hours
Friday from 9.00 to 12.30 hours

For free consultations please make an appointment. If a consultation in our centre is not feasible, we can meet you at your place. Sometimes there will be a waiting period before we can start counselling.
